What a great year 2013 was for the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.  We were able to raise $742,000 for children in need in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia.  Although we helped many in need, there were still grant requests that went unfunded.  Well…here at Bristol we love a challenge and look forward to exceeding the amount raised in 2013 by creating new and exciting elements to our events!

Coming up in March Bristol Motor Speedway will host NASCAR for the Food City 500 race weekend. Luckily SCC also has some events surrounding the race weekend. We will host track laps on Thursday, March 13.  This will be an opportunity for fans to drive their own car around the "World's Fastest Half Mile"! If you are looking for more of a tailgating opportunity then register for the Flex Seal Cornhole Tournament, as all proceeds will benefit Speedway Children's Charities. And for the ultimate race fan, check out our Bristol Ultimate Experiences Online auction at www.sccauctions.com.  Here you will have the chance to bid on the opportunity to ride with your favorite NASCAR driver during driver introductions for the Food City 500, among other amazing experiences.

We are also in the thick of planning for the second annual Thunder Valley Fly and Wine event.  Fly fishing enthusiasts and those looking to learn more about our beautiful region's rivers will have the chance to test out new equipment on the TITANROOF casting pond. For those who aren't so keen on fishing, no problem! Come on out anyway and try local wines in our Wine Tasting Tent. All this and more is happening at Bristol Motor Speedway at the Thunder Valley Fly and Wine, April 25-27.

Event information can be found by clicking the Events tab on www.bristol.speedwaycharities.org. Thanks for your support of Speedway Children's Charities.
