It is the ultimate dream for any race fan... riding around Bristol Motor Speedway with a NASCAR superstar during pre-race ceremonies at one of racing's biggest events. Now, that dream can be a reality thanks to the Ride of a Lifetime auction.

Race fans can bid for the opportunity to hop aboard one of the Ford pre-race vehicles with their favorite Sprint Cup Series racer prior to the March 18 Food City 500. The winning bidders will make a lap around the "World's Fastest Half-Mile" with their selected competitor during driver introductions.

In addition to taking an exciting lap around BMS during driver intros, each winner and a guest will receive cold pit passes to visit the infield as race teams make final preparations for the main event.

Drivers participating in the Ride of a Lifetime auction are Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Jeff Burton, Greg Biffle, Joey Logano, Paul Menard, Aric Almirola and David Gilliland.

All proceeds will benefit the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.

Bidders must be 18 years of age. The auction begins Monday, February 27 and runs through Monday, March 12. The auction takes place online at www.bristol.speedwaycharities.org.

The winning bidder may elect to give up his or her ride to a family member or friend. This will be permitted as long as the person is at least 12 years of age.

Fans wishing to participate, but who lack internet access, may do so by mailing in bids to: Bristol Motor Speedway, "Ride of a Lifetime" Auction, Attn. Betsy Holleman, P.O. Box 3966, Bristol, TN, 37625. Anyone wishing to mail bids are asked to notify Holleman at (423) 989-6975.

Payment for winning auctions must be received in full by Thursday, March 15. Payment methods available include check, money order, VISA, MasterCard or Discover. Winning bidders will receive a full refund in the event of inclement weather and cancellation of driver introductions.
