On behalf of the Sullivan County Scottish Rite members, I want to again extend my thanks to everyone at Bristol Motor Speedway that does such a tremendous job with the Speedway Children's Charities. The slow economy has increased the need of all the services that we both provide. Without the help of Speedway Children's Charities, our club could not have met the children's need for shoes in our area. In 2009, the Sullivan County Scottish Rite spent over $10,000 for shoes and socks for needy children.

The Scottish Rite Foundation provides speech and hearing therapy to area children up to their 4th Birthday. These services are provided @ Mountain Region Speech and Hearing, as well as, East Tennessee State Medical Center & University of Tennessee Medical Center. This year, we expect to spend $37,500 for speech and hearing.

The Scottish Rite Club also supplies sick room equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, walker, etc. to anyone in the area without charge. In addition, we provide scholarships of $1,000 to area young men and women.

Thank you Speedway Children's Charities for helping us achieve all of this and more
